Yes. Many of our members had never tried CrossFit before joining Base Fitness & CrossFit East Kilbride.
Before entering regular classes, all new CrossFit members receive dedicated induction sessions with a coach. These sessions are designed to introduce you to key movements, exercises and training principles so that you feel confident and prepared when joining classes for the first time.
CrossFit is fully scalable, meaning sessions can be adapted to suit all abilities, fitness levels and experience.

Yes. We offer open gym sessions every day, allowing members to use the gym and equipment independently during dedicated time slots.
In addition to our scheduled classes, members can make use of our fully equipped gym facilities during dedicated open gym periods. From June 2026, members will also benefit from 24-hour gym access, providing even greater flexibility to train at a time that suits their lifestyle, work schedule or personal commitments.
Whether you’re following your own training plan, supplementing your CrossFit sessions or simply prefer to train independently, you’ll have access to the equipment and space you need to achieve your goals.
